Chawk Bazar is located at 1738A Lawrence Avenue East, Scarborough, Toronto, near Victoria Park Avenue and Lawrence Avenue East. Parking is available in the plaza.

Is Chawk Bazar halal? Do you serve alcohol?

Yes, all meat served at Chawk Bazar is halal. We do not serve alcohol.

 

What are your opening hours?

• Monday: Closed

• Tuesday–Thursday: 12 p.m.–9 p.m.

• Friday–Saturday: 12 p.m.–10 p.m.

• Sunday: 12 p.m.–9 p.m.

Do you offer dine-in? Are walk-ins welcome?

Yes, we offer dine-in service, and walk-ins are welcome. You can also reserve a table through our website. For groups of 5–10 people, please contact us ahead of your visit to discuss seating and availability.

 

Can I get mutton kacchi biryani and beef tehari every day?

Yes. Mutton kacchi biryani and beef tehari are available every day we are open, Tuesday through Sunday. We are closed on Mondays.

Our mutton kacchi biryani is prepared in traditional Bangladeshi wedding style with fragrant rice and served with potato and a boiled egg. Our beef tehari combines beef and kalijeera rice prepared with mustard oil.

What is Bangla-Chinese food?

Bangla-Chinese food is the Chinese-style cooking popular in Bangladesh, known for bold flavours and dishes such as chilli chicken, fried rice and chowmein. At Chawk Bazar, you can explore these favourites alongside sizzling dishes, vegetables and Thai-inspired options.

 

Do you offer sharing platters for two?

Yes. Our menu features a Bangla Chinese Platter for 2 and a Gram-Bangla Platter for 2.

The Bangla Chinese Platter combines soup, starters, fried rice, chicken and vegetables. The Gram-Bangla Platter brings together homestyle Bangladeshi dishes such as bhortas, fish, daal, vegetables and steamed rice. Please check our current menu for prices and availability.
